This policy explains what information Idealab Arizona ("we," "us") collects through idealabaz.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We keep it plain because the goal is for you to actually understand it.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you sign up for news and updates, RSVP to an event, or otherwise contact us, we collect the details you provide — typically your name and email address, and, if you choose to opt in to text messages, your phone number. If you email us, we keep your message and contact details so we can respond.

Information collected automatically. We use privacy-friendly analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to understand how the site is used. This is measured in aggregate — page views, referring links, general region, and device type. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not identify you individually.

How we use your information

Email and text messages

We manage email and SMS through Mailchimp. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any text message to opt out. You can also email hello@idealabaz.com at any time and we'll remove you.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site and communicate with you — primarily Mailchimp (email and SMS) and Cloudflare (website hosting and analytics) — and only as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe or opt out of texts at any time using the methods above. You may also request to access the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@idealabaz.com.

Depending on where you live, U.S. state privacy laws may give you additional rights. For example, residents of California (under the CCPA/CPRA), as well as residents of states such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and Texas with comparable laws, generally have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing." We do not sell your personal information, and we honor these requests through the same email address above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) is cookieless by design.

Data retention

We keep your contact information for as long as needed to provide what you asked for (such as ongoing updates) or until you ask us to remove it.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent version.
